The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) hosts EIC test results of clear, carrier, and affected (the VDL will not be maintaining a list of clear dogs). The data will be submitted by individual owners, if they choose, after receiving results. We encourage disclosure of all EIC test results. Any dog’s result can be submitted, regardless of whether or not the dog is registered with AKC or another Kennel Club. For test results to be eligible for VPI (Verified Permanent Identification) level certification with the OFA, the attending veterinarian must verify a microchip or tattoo.
Please note that we cannot update the result report with VPI registration information if a tattoo or microchip was not verified at the time of testing.
The OFA Open Database can be accessed by following this link:
http://www.offa.org/search.html.
Go to the second scrollable column of the section labeled "Report Type," scroll down below the DNA subheading and click on Exercise Induced Collapse . Then click the "begin search" button at the bottom of the table.
The first page of your dog’s result report is also a submission form for the OFA Open Database. When you receive your results you may make a copy of the first page, sign and fax or mail it to the address below with a check made payable to OFA. The results will be uploaded to the OFA open database and will be published on the OFA website.
