Milk Bacteria Troubleshooting Panel Option 2: SPC+LPC+PI+Coli
Minimum of 6 ml milk each sample in a tube 1/4 to 3/4 full. Freeze samples immediately after collection. Samples must remain cold, preferably frozen. Refer to Best Practice: Milk Samples (link) for detailed instructions on how to collect a bulk milk sample.
This panel combines Standard Plate Count (SPC), Laboratory Pasteurization Count (LPC), Preliminary Incubation Count (PI) and Coliform Count to aid in investigation of elevated bulk milk bacteria counts. See individual tests for more information. For more information, see Troubleshooting High Bacteria Counts in Farm Milk.
