Note: The $10 accession fee will apply to nutrition testing. All fees are in US $.
Note on days tested and turnaround times: Samples must be received at least 1 business day before the scheduled testing day. New client accounts can take up to 2-3 business days to establish before testing can begin. Samples may not always be tested on the first scheduled day after they arrive; however, it is our goal to complete testing within the posted turnaround time. If rush testing is desired, please contact us.

A representative sample should be collected. Examples would be handfuls from the top, middle and bottom of a bag of feed or portions of samples from different lot numbers and batches.

1,2) Collect sample in a well-sealed heavy-duty plastic bag. The samples should be representative of the feed lot being tested. Hay should be randomly sampled throughout bales. Mixed rations and pelleted diets should be well mixed before sampling.

EDTA plasma is NOT acceptable for electrolyte analysis. Specimens where Zinc is of interest must be collected in no-additive royal blue top serum tubes. Whole blood selenium analysis will be performed if whole blood is received. Serum is the only acceptable specimen for the rest of the panel.
